Key Features

  • Long-lasting Laser Light Source: The laser light source boasts not only high brightness, but also an extremely long lifespan (approximately 20,000-30,000 hours) and stable color performance, eliminating the need for frequent lamp replacements throughout the project lifecycle. This ensures consistent image quality and significantly reduces maintenance costs.
  • Strong Environmental Adaptability: For challenging outdoor environments, 20,000-lumen project projectors typically feature IP5X dustproofing and a wide operating temperature range (e.g., 0°C to 50°C), capable of withstanding wind, sand, rain, and temperature fluctuations, ensuring stable operation even in inclement weather.
  • Professional Image Processing: These projectors have built-in edge blending and geometric correction features.
  • This means multiple projectors can be seamlessly stitched together to create ultra-wide images, and software can precisely conform to irregular curves like buildings, creating stunning 3D mapping effects.

Basic steps of 3D Mapping projection

The magic of 3D mapping doesn't just happen; it relies on a rigorous technical process to ensure the virtual image seamlessly blends with the physical object.

3D Scanning and Modeling

First, laser scanning or photogrammetry is used to obtain high-precision 3D model data of the projection object (such as a building facade or sculpture). This forms the foundation for all subsequent work, defining the shape of the projection "canvas."

Content Creation and Mapping

Designers create animation content specifically based on the object's geometric features. Then, using specialized software (such as Millumin or Resolume), the animation is "wrapped" onto the 3D model, simulating the projector's perspective to produce a pre-distorted and calibrated image.

On-site Projection and Blending

On-site, multiple high-brightness engineering projectors are precisely positioned. When the pre-calibrated image is projected, it appears regular from the projector's perspective. However, when it is applied to the complex surface of the object, the audience sees a dynamic image that perfectly conforms to the object's structure and exhibits no distortion. Through edge blending technology, the images of multiple projectors can be seamlessly spliced into a complete, larger image.
